Louis Tomlinson Helps Couple Stranded In Vietnam

Louis Tomlinson has once again showed the world how big his heart is. The singer has helped a Doncaster couple stranded in Vietnam after a horror road accident.

Rhys Sykes and Sarah Liddle, who were backpacking through Asia, became stranded in Vietnam after a motorbike accident on Valentine’s Day. The accident left Liddle with three separate breaks to her left leg, which made her unable to fly back home to Doncaster, England. Sykes suffered a broken foot, broken fingers, and seriously scratched arms.

The couple was told that a special evacuation flight would cost them £15,000. This caused them to ask for help from the public to fly back to the United Kingdom for urgent medical treatment. Sykes’ and Liddle’s families have now shared with Doncaster Free Press that Tomlinson was so touched by their situation that he gave them a massive cash donation.

Julie Liddle, the aunt of Sarah Liddle, said, “Louis heard about our appeal to get Rhys and Sarah home and his mum got in touch saying how upset he was to hear about what had happened and how he would like to help. He gave a very sizeable donation to the fund and we would like to say a very big thank you to Louis and his family for being so kind.”

The couple is now back in the United Kingdom, but they are both still received medical treatment. Liddle is currently staying at Sheffield’s Northern General Hospital where she will remain for several weeks after an operation to reset her leg. Sykes has undergone additional operations on his broken foot.
